Unfortunately Project White T-Shirt was unable to meet Unholy Matrimony, but next time we see him we'll interview him, so check back for updates! |

Since establishing Unholy Matrimony in 2002, Brett Westfall developed a highly visual relationship between conceptual art and fashion while challenging the restrictive nature of commercial, mainstream design. He caught Rei Kawakubo's attention for his hand-dyed work and collaborated with her in the COMME des GARÇONS Spring/Summer 2008 Paris runway show. For this project, Brett re-approached a previous idea and used a white t-shirt that he buried in his garden for 185 days. The resulting erosion by soil and roots demonstrates Brett's message that the earth is alive, and ate the t-shirt. | |||
